A new exhibition called Kimono Fusion is coming to Gothenburg's Museum of World Culture, and its big debut is tonight! To kick off the exhibition, the museum is hosting a party tonight at 19.00 to give attendees the feeling of spending a night in Tokyo, hence the party's name, Tokyo Fusion. There will be Japanese food and drinks, karaoke, dancing, and supposedly even a spa! This night is going to be full of fun, partying, Japanese culture, not to mention the fashion exhibition. It should be fun for anyone interested in Japanese culture, fashion, or just learning something new or having a good time.

Want to get in for free? This will be a fashion exhibit, so you'd better believe that dressing up will be encouraged. If you show up at the door dressed as something influenced by Japanese culture (examples: a geisha, Pokemon character, Hello Kitty, the list goes on), you skip the 60kr entrance fee and get in for free! This sounds like a party that you wouldn't get invited to every day, and really interesting compared to the usual parties you'd go to. The traditional Japanese food alone is enough to make me want to go!

The "Världskulturmuseet" (Museum of World Culture) is at Södra Vägen 54, just past the Universeum, down the street a ways from the stop Korsvägen. Get more information about this event on its website or facebook page. If you don't make it to the opening night, you have now through the end of May 2011 to see the Kimono Fusion exhibition, for the museum's regular free admission. In this case, find the museum's opening hours and more exhibition information at the main website here.

Where: Världskulturmuseet, Södra Vägen 54

When: Friday, September 17, 19.00

Entrance: 60kr or FREE with Japanese-style costume
