City Beat: Halloween Horror Party

Sunday is Halloween! It's not as big a holiday in Sweden as it is in North America, but I've found you a costume party to go to on Saturday night featuring multiple bars, dance floors, and a band. Who would want to pass up this opportunity to go all-out dressing up as ANYTHING IMAGINABLE and going to a big party?

The party is at Trädgår'n, a central venue near Ullevi and Central Station. The band is Wicked Kisser, a KISS tribute band from Gothenburg. Entrance is 120sek, it starts at 23.00 and the age limit is 20, though it says "born in '90" so I think you lucky 19-year-olds born in late 1990 are welcome too? Don't forget about the queue. At the bottom of their website (link below) you have information on getting köföreträde, or "queue priority" for you and 4 friends... Good luck!

As with many traditional Halloween parties, this one includes a costume competition. The best three costumes win a prize; 1st prize being an ESP Ltd. electric guitar.

Costume Tips

I suggest googling Halloween costume ideas or just use your imagination. Be creative. Literally, anything goes... that's what makes it fun! Go out to your friend's pre-party in costume. Go to a bar before the club in costume. Be festive! Check out yesterday's article on where to buy costumes and accessories, or make a costume from scratch!
