A SIGHTSEEING THEME SPECIAL
For me Paris is like a beautiful love story, written in the past and read over and over again. Paris has something special, which captivates its visitors. From this Saturday the artist William Eggelston, born in Memphis, Tennessee, is giving  his interpretation of Paris- depicted through pop cultural details and symbols of famous places associated with the city.

Hasselblad center is located in the middle of Gothenburg, behind Poseidon, inside Gothenburg Art museum. It was founded 1982, with the pupose to foster scientifical research and tutoring within photography. Hasselblad is a strong label due to the quality camera developed by Viktor Hasselblad. Today the Hasselblad Foundation persue activities like the worlds most prestigeous prize  competition in photography and high-quality photographic exhibitions.

The Hasselblad Foundation present five exhibitions per year, among which the prize-winner exhibition in the end of each year use to be one of the highlights. This year Hasselblad Center is celebrating its 30 year jubilee, and dedicate the whole year to previous prize winners. William Eggelston has during the last four years worked on a large project about Paris. He is focusing on the details of the urban life, simple things that normally are overlooked. The exhibition has previously been shown in Paris 2009, and in Tokyo earlier the same year.

If you are under 25 there is free entrence to Hasselblad Center and Gothenburg Art Museum. For everyone over 25 the fee is 40 kr, which provide you with free entrance for one year, in all five of following museums: Gothenburg Art Museum, Röhsska Museet, Gothenburg City Museum, the Maritime Museum and the Natural History Museum.
